Analysis of post for Monday, March 14, 2005
Vishal begins the blog with a much lamented plea to a 'Su' who seems to have been disenchanted with the first post. Despite the derogatory reaction to his initial post, Vishal senses and disarms the escalating tension by using satirical rhetoric in reference to the improvement of his current post over the last one
Quote Vishal "You know what they say, Second time's a charm."
There are 2 points of interest here: 1) This acerbic comment shows a commitment by Vishal for self betterment to entertain his subscibers and a concerned effort of concillatory pacifism put forth towards his readership. Whereas a less professional blogger might react with a verbal assault, Vishal diffuses the situation with a level of class that has made him synonomous with excellence in blogging.
2) The fallacious idea of the last post's inadequacies is rebuked by a prediction of the current post's superiority. Vishal is again proven correct as this post is above and beyond what one normally expects from a mere online blog.
The blog delves into Vishal's love of thespian and fellow blogger Zach Braff. Readers familiar with Vishal will recall that his ultimate interest is "watching scrubs"; thus, for the educated Vishal reader, this comes as no suprise. The post also gets deeply personal reflecting on the turmoil in his life caused by an innundation of work. Vishal speaks for the executive working overtime to the blue collar laborer barely making ends meet when he existentially reflects on his life's predicaments
Quote Vishal: "Which makes me question why I'm writing in a blog at 2:11am. I gotta go to sleep."
"To sleep, perchance to dream. . . "- comparisons with the Elizabethan playwright abound as the post reaches its conclusion. Vishal presumably does sleep as the post ends but not before putting forth a pulitzer's worth of ideas.
